MLA Byrathi Basavaraj conducted a traditional guddali puja on Monday to mark the beginning of construction for a new ground-level water reservoir in K.R. Puram. This significant project aims to enhance water supply in the area, benefitting a population of approximately 200,000 residents.
The newly planned reservoir will have a substantial capacity of 13.5 million liters and is expected to play a crucial role in addressing the growing water demands of the city. With an investment of around Rs 11 crore, the reservoir represents a significant step towards improving urban water infrastructure and ensuring a reliable water supply for residents.
Speaking at the event, MLA Byrathi Basavaraj highlighted the importance of this project for the local community. This reservoir will serve as a boon for K.R. Puram and surrounding areas, helping to alleviate water scarcity issues that many residents face. We are committed to improving water access and quality for our citizens, he stated. The construction of this reservoir is part of a broader initiative to enhance the city’s water management systems, providing a sustainable solution to water challenges.
