An incident occurred on Monday in Chikkanahalli village where a 50-year-old woman named Manjamma lost her life after being electrocuted by a fallen electric wire. The incident took place around 10 am on Monday when Manjamma, a resident of the village, was standing near her house, and a live electric wire suddenly broke, striking her.
Despite efforts by nearby residents to save her, they were also electrocuted and forced to move away due to the danger posed by the live wire. The impact of the electric shock was severe, leading to Manjamma’s immediate death at the scene. Authorities have taken swift action, and the deceased’s body has been sent to Rajarajeshwari Hospital for a post-mortem examination.
The Tavarekere Police Station has registered a case and is currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident to determine the cause of the electrical failure. The tragic accident has raised concerns among the villagers about the safety of the electrical infrastructure in the area.
