The lead changed hands again after the fifth round, but ultimately, after the counting of the tenth round, the Trinamool Congress candidate was declared the winner. Trinamool Congress’s national general secretary and party MP, Abhishek Banerjee, congratulated the people of Dhupguri for choosing a politics of development over division and intolerance. He also commended the party workers for their efforts and reiterated the party’s commitment to promoting all-round development in Dhupguri.
