Rs 58Cr released to save Kittur Fort history: Krishnabyre Gowda

A theme park is planned for Kittoor to promote tourism and share its history in a modern way. The announcement was made by Revenue Minister Krishnabyre Gowda during a program after laying the foundation stone for fort conservation work, which will cost Rs 14.56 crore. The theme park will be developed with a grant of Rs 30 crore.

The minister stated that modern electronic technology will be used to present the history of Kittoor. Approval for the project has been received, and the grant has been allocated. Additionally, a grant of Rs 5 crore will support the Kittoor festival, which will celebrate the 200th anniversary of its victory.

A total of Rs 58 crore will be invested in the development projects, including Rs 30 crore for the theme park, Rs 5 crore for the festival, and Rs 5 crore for other improvements. MLA Babasaheb Patila emphasized that the theme park will focus on a unique experience for visitors, not just display dolls. Plans are in place to attract more tourists and restore the ruins of the Kittoor kingdom.

The government aims to promote the overall development of Kittoor, and the Revenue Minister’s actions have been noted as proactive. The program was attended by several officials, including local leaders and community members.
