A KSRP Police Head Constable, who had come to Kollegal to maintain law and order in connection with the release of Cauvery water, died of a heart attack on Friday. The deceased has been identified as Mohan (44).
As a precautionary measure, 23 personnel of KSRP Mysuru Battalion had arrived in Kollegal two days ago for duty and were staying at the public hostel. Head constable Mohan, who was staying in the hostel after completing his duty, suffered a sudden heart attack.The body was handed over to the family members after post-mortem. Mohan hails from Kakkabe village in Napoklu hobli of Madikeri district. A case has been registered at Kollegal Town Police station.
