Upset over not having a son, a woman along with her three children attempted suicide at Kumbarahalla village in Jamkhandi taluk on Friday. Two daughters and a boy were killed in the incident. Sangeetha Hanamantha Gudeppagol (28), a woman from Kumbarahalla village, survived.
The case has been registered under Jamkhandi Rural Police station limits. PSI Mahesh Sankha and CPI Mallappa Maddi visited the spot and inspected the spot.Preliminary investigations by the Police revealed that Sangeetha attempted suicide as she was upset as she had two daughters.
