Haryana targets Rs ₹66K cr investment push

Mumbai

Memoranda of Understanding involving investments of more than Rs 66,000 crore were signed in Haryana on the second day of the state government’s ‘Happening Haryana 2.0’ international outreach campaign, marking a major investment push.

The MoUs were exchanged in the presence of Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini and Industries and Commerce Minister Rao Narbir Singh at an interaction with Consuls General, investors and Mumbai’s financial sector.

Saini said Haryana offered investors more than land, incentives and approvals, describing the state’s approach as a strategic partnership based on scale, speed, policy certainty and shared prosperity. “We believe in project movement, not file movement,” he said, highlighting the government’s focus on faster implementation.

The Chief Minister said an Industry-Worker Friendship Council had been constituted to address issues concerning the rights of industries and workers and resolve industrial disputes.

Saini highlighted Haryana’s economic contribution, noting that while the state accounts for only about 1.3 per cent of India’s geographical area, it contributes around 3.6 per cent to the national economy. He said the state had become a hub for automobiles, agro-industries, engineering, electronics, logistics, IT services and corporate activities.

He also cited the recent signing of MoUs worth Rs 1.10 lakh crore at the Industry Policy launch programme in Gurugram. Of the 123 companies involved, 108 have been provided land.

The government, he said, plans new growth nodes by integrating district-specific industrial clusters with land, skills and connectivity, with sectors tailored to northern, central, southern and western Haryana.
