The Indian Golf Premier League (IGPL) and the Asian Tour have reaffirmed their commitment to expanding their successful partnership, aiming to create greater playing opportunities and stronger development pathways for professional golfers in India and across Asia.
The collaboration gained significant momentum earlier this season in Morocco, where the two organisations co-sanctioned back-to-back professional tournaments at the Mazagan Beach & Golf Resort. The USD 160,000 IGPL Morocco Rising Stars 2026, held from May 28 to 31 on the Asian Development Tour (ADT), was followed by the USD 500,000 IGPL Bharath Classic on the Asian Tour from June 4 to 7.
More than 40 golfers from the IGPL Tour earned places in the Bharath Classic field, marking the league’s flagship event’s first edition outside India. The initiative provided Indian professionals with valuable international exposure while strengthening competitive links between the two tours.
With the season entering its second half, IGPL and the Asian Tour will continue to collaborate on tournament scheduling, player development programmes and competitive opportunities. The partnership aligns with IGPL’s vision of creating a structured pathway for Indian golfers to compete regularly on the international stage.
The AM Green IGPL has rapidly emerged as one of the region’s most ambitious professional golf leagues, featuring 10 franchises and a calendar of 15 tournaments. Its growing international footprint, with events already hosted in Mauritius, South Africa, Congo and Morocco, has significantly expanded opportunities for Indian golfers to gain overseas experience while competing alongside international professionals.
