India’s women’s team suffered a narrow 1-2 defeat against Malaysia in the World Squash Junior Team Championships in Ontario, Canada. Recently crowned world junior champion Anahat Singh secured India’s only victory with a straight-game win over Whitney Wilson. Earlier, Rudra Singh lost her match, while Anika Dubey fought bravely in a thrilling five-game contest before falling short. India had opened the tournament with a convincing 3-0 win over Chinese Taipei. The team will next face South Africa, hoping to return to winning ways and strengthen its campaign in the prestigious international championship with confidence.
