Patriotic songs workshop inspires students through culture

CHITRADURGA

A special singing workshop on patriotic and Kannada songs was organized at Vidya Bharati Gyan Mandir High School on NH-50, bringing together students, teachers and cultural experts to promote values, language and national pride.

The program was inaugurated by Dr. K.M. Veeresh, State Vice President of Sharan Sahitya Parishad. Addressing the gathering, he said that knowledge gained through education makes life meaningful and beautiful. He noted that learning from educational institutions helps build strong values, culture and traditions, while also maintaining mental and physical balance. Referring to patriotic songs and the national anthem, he explained that every word reflects the unity and spirit of the nation. Regular learning and understanding of such songs, he said, can guide children toward a brighter future.

Retired headmaster Huruli Basavaraj spoke about the richness of the Kannada language and Karnataka’s cultural heritage. He said the state’s history, traditions and language are valuable resources for students. He encouraged children to actively participate in both academic and extracurricular activities to become responsible citizens and contribute to society.

Dr. K. Mohan Kumar, President of Ranga Saurabha Kala Sangha, said the organization is working to identify and encourage creative talent among students through cultural and literary programs.

Headmistress Haseena presided over the event. More than 40 students attended the workshop, where practical training in patriotic and Kannada songs was provided, inspiring them to appreciate culture, language and national values.
