BENGALURU
The Peenya Flyover, which had remained closed for the past four days, reopened for vehicular traffic, bringing relief to commuters. The flyover, a key route connecting Bengaluru to 22 districts, was shut on May 5 by the National Highways Authority of India for cable installation and load testing work. Restrictions had caused major traffic congestion and inconvenience to motorists over the last few days. Officials said the cable installation has been completed successfully and load testing was also cleared. Following this, all categories of vehicles were permitted to use the flyover from 11 am onwards. Traffic movement has now resumed normally in both directions.
