Formula One driver George Russell said he would understand if rival Max Verstappen decides to leave the sport amid growing frustration with new rules. Speaking during a media session, Russell said Verstappen’s feelings are natural, given his success and recent criticism of Formula One changes. The Dutch driver, a four-time world champion, has hinted at focusing on activities that make him happy. Russell noted that Verstappen has already achieved most goals in the sport and may look beyond records. He added that Formula One remains bigger than any single driver. Meanwhile, Verstappen is competing at the Nürburgring Nordschleife this weekend as he prepares for a 24-hour endurance race. Russell, currently focused on winning his first championship, confirmed he will continue with Mercedes-AMG Petronas Formula One Team next season.
