Delhi Police on Saturday busted a multi-state radical module and arrested four youths allegedly involved in online radicalisation and terror planning. Officials said the group aimed to recruit members and establish an Islamic state through extremist activities.
Police claimed that the investigation revealed a possible link to a past Red Fort blast that killed 11 people and injured several others. One accused had visited the Red Fort and other sensitive locations in December 2025 and shared edited images to influence others.
The arrests were made by the Special Cell from Maharashtra, Odisha and Bihar. An FIR has been registered under relevant sections of the law. Authorities recovered material used to prepare Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs), along with mobile phones containing evidence.
Investigators said the accused were active on encrypted social media platforms, where they spread extremist content and recruited youth. Two members were collecting materials to build a remote-controlled IED using a toy car for possible attacks.
Police said the group used different roles, including collecting funds, arranging weapons training and sharing instructions. One accused reportedly shared bank details to raise money, while others circulated images of explosives and related items.
Officials added that the accused had discussed targeting key locations such as the Ram temple, Parliament and military installations to create panic. The group’s activities were closely monitored before the coordinated arrests were made.
