A fire broke out at a fruit and vegetable market in the Krishna Nagar area of Lucknow on Thursday night, gutting around 15 shops, police said. Deputy Commissioner of Police (South) Amit Kumar Anand confirmed that no casualties were reported. Fire brigade and police teams rushed to the spot after receiving information and managed to control the blaze. Officials said the fire likely started due to a short circuit in one shop and quickly spread to nearby shops. A detailed investigation is underway to confirm the exact cause.
