Ahead of the West Bengal Assembly elections, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, along with Leader of Opposition Suvendu Adhikari and BJP state president Samik Bhattacharya, released a “chargesheet” in Kolkata against the ruling Trinamool Congress government.
Addressing the press, Shah said the upcoming elections would be a choice between “fear and trust.” He accused Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee of promoting politics driven by fear, corruption, violence, and false promises over the past 15 years.
Shah claimed the chargesheet reflects people’s concerns and urged voters to decide the state’s future. He expressed confidence that the BJP would form the next government, stating the party has been opposing such governance since 2011.
Highlighting national security, Shah said infiltration remains a key issue in Bengal. He also praised Adhikari for raising concerns about law and order, economic challenges, and governance across the state.
