‘Bad Bunny’ shines bright at Latin Grammys

Bad Bunny became the biggest winner at the 2025 Latin Grammy Awards, taking home the top prize for Album of the Year with Debi Tirar Mas Fotos. This marked his first major win in a general category, making the night especially meaningful for the Puerto Rican star. He led the ceremony with 12 nominations and collected several more awards for songs from the same album.

His track “DtMF” won Best Urban/Urban Fusion Performance and Best Urban Song, while “Voy A Llevarte Pa PR” earned Best Reggaeton Performance. The album itself also won Best Urban Music Album. During his speech, Bad Bunny spoke proudly about representing his homeland through music and thanked all the artists who joined him on the project.

Karol G also had a strong night, winning Song of the Year for her hit “Si Antes Te Hubiera Conocido.” Alejandro Sanz captured Record of the Year for “Palmeras En El Jardin.”

Other notable winners included Ca7riel and Paco Amoroso, who swept multiple categories such as Best Pop Song, Best Alternative Music Album, Best Alternative Song, and Best Music Videos for their projects connected to Papota and “#Tetas.” Paloma Morphy was named Best New Artist.

Several categories highlighted the diversity of Latin music, with winners ranging from Ruben Blades in salsa to Gloria Estefan in tropical traditions. Artists like Trueno, Fito Paez, Natalia Lafourcade, Liniker, Los Tigres Del Norte, and many others also took home important honours across rock, folk, jazz, regional, and Portuguese-language categories.

The 2025 Latin Grammy Awards celebrated a wide mix of styles, voices, and cultures, with Bad Bunny standing at the center of the evening’s biggest wins.
