Ever since Maharashtra Governor C.P. Radhakrishnan was announced as the NDA’s Vice-Presidential candidate, excitement has grown among BJP leaders and their allies. The alliance is aiming for a consensus-backed election, with meetings and consultations led by Minister Joshi in full progress.
Radhakrishnan arrived in New Delhi on Monday morning, where he was warmly welcomed by Joshi and other senior ministers, including Delhi CM Rekha Gupta, Kiren Rijiju, and B. Yadav, who greeted him with bouquets and good wishes. Later, several NDA leaders gathered at Joshi’s residence for discussions and to congratulate the candidate.
The selection of Radhakrishnan, known for his simple personality, has energized the NDA. Leaders have resolved to secure a strong mandate in the upcoming Vice-Presidential election. Minister Joshi, with his close ties to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, and other allied party leaders, is steering the process efficiently.
Monday evening saw an important meeting at Joshi’s office, attended by several NDA cabinet ministers, MPs, and Radhakrishnan himself. Discussions focused on election strategies, consolidating support, and ensuring a smooth path for the candidate. With the NDA united behind him, Radhakrishnan’s Vice-Presidential candidacy has already become a focal point of political attention in the national capital.
