Woman Techie Commits Suicide, Family Accuses Husband Of Harassment

Tragedy unfolded in Jogupalya, a residential area of the city, as a 30-year-old married woman, identified as Divya, took her own life on Monday evening. The distressing incident occurred at approximately 10 pm when Divya hanged herself from a ceiling fan. Divya had been married to Aravind, also a software engineer, since 2014, and the couple were blessed with two children. Both Divya and Aravind were employed as software engineers in a private company, adding to the shock and disbelief surrounding the circumstances of this tragic event.
Concern arose when Divya failed to respond to her husband’s attempts to reach her, prompting Aravind to urgently contact his mother-in-law’s family for assistance. It is alleged that Divya had been subjected to mental anguish by a member of her husband’s family following their marriage. Distraught and seeking answers, Divya’s grieving parents are now accusing her husband and his relatives of foul play.
In response to the filed complaint, the Halasur police have taken Aravind into custody for further investigation. The authorities are committed to uncovering the truth behind this devastating incident and ensuring justice prevails.
