Depressed Over Losing Father, Woman Jumps To Death From 10th Floor Of Apartment

A woman died by suicide after jumping from a balcony of her 10th-floor apartment in Nagenahalli near Yelahanka. The incident took place on Thursday night at around 10 pm. A case has been registered at Yelahanka New Town Police Station. The deceased has been identified as 27-year-old Amruta Sharma. The woman was living with her husband and in-laws. She had married two years ago. The victim fell from her balcony attached to the kitchen at around 10 pm. She was rushed to a nearby hospital where she was declared brought dead. The body has been shifted to Dr Ambedkar Hospital for post-mortem. The woman was working at a private firm in the city.
According to initial information, the woman was reportedly depressed after she recently lost her father. The woman hails from Lucknow in Uttar Pradesh and her mother is en route to the city. A case has been registered at Yelahanka New Town Police Station and police are initiated a probe.
