Policeman Was Head Of Gang In BESCOM Job Scam

The police busted the network of 7 people who were cheating unemployed employees into believing that they would give them jobs in BESCOM. The people involved in this network have cheated job aspirants by giving them fake recruitment letters for lakhs of rupees. When a job seeker went to the office to report for duty in Bescom, it was revealed that the organization had not recruited any junior engineers. The arrested fraudsters have been identified as Praveen, Prajwal, Purushottam and Lohit and are residents of Bengaluru, while Shivprasad Channannavar of Belgaum and Vijay Kumar of Belgaum and Pradeep of Tumkur have also been arrested.
On May 22, a person named Vaibhav Venkatesh went to the BESCOM office at Anandrao Circle with an appointment letter to report for duty. But as there was no appointment for the post of Junior Engineer, Assistant Executive Engineer Somashekhar got suspicious and it was confirmed that the appointment order was fake. He immediately lodged a complaint with the police. When Vaibhav Venkatesh was interrogated, information about the network of fraudsters came out and it came to light that the fraudsters had received 20 lakh rupees from him. Praveen and Prajwal were involved in creating fake appointment letters and fake government seals, police said. The High Grounds police seized the original mark sheet of the job aspirants, laptop, printer, BESCOM fake seal, car and Rs 5.5 lakh cash from the accused. Investigation is in progress.
