Poll Booth Worker Hacked To Death By Car Driver

A toll plaza worker was murdered by a group of men after an argument over paying the toll fee at Seshagirihalli toll plaza in Ramanagara taluk on Sunday night. A case has been registered at Bidadi Police Station.
On Sunday, at 10 pm, a car that was heading towards Bengaluru from Mysuru approached the Seshagirihalli toll plaza, a few men in the car refused to pay the toll leading to a war of words between toll workers including 26-year-old Pawan Kumar. The war of words between the two sides led to a physical fight near the toll plaza. Pawan Kumar attacked people in the car. The fight was caught on the CCTV camera installed near the toll plaza. Locals intervened to put an end to the brawl, but the group of men waited for Pawan near the toll plaza. At around 12 am, when Pawan took a break and stepped out for dinner, he was attacked by the miscreants with hockey sticks and thrashed to death. A case has been registered at Bidadi Police Station and a manhunt has been launched for the accused. The police are trying to identify the accused using CCTV cameras installed at the toll plaza. Deceased Pawan Kumar is a resident of Karaikal tanda of Bengaluru South taluk.
