Amber Heard Seeks New Start In Madrid After Johnny Depp Case: I Move On, That’s Life

Must read

Amber Heard has seemingly kissed Hollywood goodbye and is seeking a new start in Madrid, Spain. The actress, who was embroiled in a highly publicised court case with her ex-husband Johnny Depp, said in a recent interview, spoke about her hope to live in Spain.
A video doing the rounds on Twitter sees her being approached outside her home. The actress and single mom spoke candidly in Spanish about her love for Madrid and admitted: I love lining here.
Johnny Depp made a rare public appearance at Cannes Film Festival and faced questions from the press following the opening-night premiere of Jeanne du Barry. Contrary to reports that she has quit the film industry, Heard said that she has some film projects. I move on, that’s life, she said.
Early this month, news broke that the actress has quietly relocated to Spain with her daughter Oonagh. Notably, Heard sold her Yucca Valley, California, home in July 2022 for $1.1 million and since then, she has been spending her time in Spain.
Heard’s move to Spain comes almost a year after her defamation trial with Depp. The trial ended in June 2022 with the court ordering Heard to pay Depp $10 million compensatory damages plus $350,000 in punitive damages for defaming the actor in a 2018 op-ed piece she wrote for The Washington Post. Heard later asked the judge to toss the jury’s verdict and requested a retrial, claiming that the judgment was not supported by evidence.
