The CET for admissions to the professional courses began in   40 centres.   A total of 15,211 students have enrolled for the common entrance test in the district.
In the educational district 6,728 students and in Chikkodi educational district 8,483 students appeared for the common entrance test. State admission eligibility exam will be held on Monday from 11.30am to 12.30pm for out-station and border Kannadiga candidates.
Deputy Commissioner Nitesh Patil said, 12 teams consisting of three members each have been formed to deliver the question papers from the district treasury and sub-treasury to the examination centres, Taluk level and district level officials have been appointed as observers.
Xerox shops near the examination centres will be closed and the usage of mobile and electronic devices are prohibited. The police have been deployed in each centre, he said.
Meanwhile in Dharwad, CET was held smoothly on day one. A total of 29 centres were identified in twin cities for the exam. For Outstation and Border candidates, CET will be held on Monday. Candidates will be able to download the official KCET answer key 2023 on May 25 at cetonline.karnataka.gov.in.
Out of the total 11,259 registered candidates, 9,219 candidates appeared for biology and 2,040 candidates were. For mathematics, 11,259 candidates had enrolled for the exam and 10,643 candidates were present and 616 were absent. No exam malpractice has been reported from any of the centres, said Krishna Nayak, Deputy Director of PU Education.
