Also, through WhatsApp, NCR has recorded that death threat messages are being received saying that we will retaliate for smearing and insulting. Rakesh Tikayat was at the forefront of the protests against the central government’s new agricultural laws. At this time, Kodihalli Chandrasekhar and Rakesh Tikayat had accused each other of corruption. On May 20, 2022, Rakesh Tikayat was holding a press conference at Gandhi Bhavan in Bangalore to answer the allegations made by Kodihalli Chandrasekhar. Accused Bharat Shetty threw soot at this time. After that there was a commotion for some time.
The Bangalore High Grounds Police had submitted a 450-page charge sheet against the accused. A George sheet was filed against Hindutva Sangathan activist Bharat Shetty, his accomplices Shivakumar, Pradeep Kumar and Umadevi. Statements of 20 eyewitnesses and 89 witnesses have been recorded in the chargesheet filed in the court of the 8th Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate (ACMM).
