Thousands of devotees gathered at the hilltop of Devviremma, a revered goddess who blesses her followers just once a year. Over 100,000 pilgrims made the ascent and descent, with stunning drone footage capturing this beautiful and spiritual event from above.

Rising about 3,800 feet above sea level, the pyramid-shaped hill is surrounded by lush greenery and features a small temple at its peak that attracts visitors every year. Devotees travel from far and wide to see Devviremma, who resides in the Bindiga village temple year-round but appears at the hilltop temple the day before Diwali’s Amavasya (new moon).

Eager for the goddess’s blessing, many devotees climb the hill at night and gather by morning, embracing the divine presence of Devviremma and the area’s natural beauty, with cool breezes refreshing the tired pilgrims. The breathtaking drone footage showcases the vast crowd at the hilltop.

This year, MLC C.T. Ravi also joined the devotees, climbing the hill barefoot in search of the goddess’s blessings. Excited followers rushed to take selfies with him, adding to the festive atmosphere. The district police and administration made extensive arrangements to ensure the safety and smooth running of the event, allowing everyone to enjoy this special occasion without incident.
