Lok Adalat to be held on July 11

A National Lok Adalat will be organised at the JMFC Court in Surpur on July 11 under the guidance of the Karnataka State Legal Services Authority, offering an opportunity for litigants to settle disputes through mutual agreement. Additional District and Sessions Judge Yamanappa Bammanagi, speaking at a press conference, said the Lok Adalat aims to provide speedy, cost-effective justice and reduce the burden of pending cases. He urged the public to make use of the forum to resolve disputes amicably and save time and money. Cases including property disputes, cheque bounce matters, bank loan recoveries, motor accident claims, minor criminal cases, maintenance petitions, and family disputes will be taken up. Pre-litigation cases can also be settled without court fees. Officials said mediators will assist both parties in reaching mutually acceptable agreements and promote reconciliation, especially in family matters.
