“At present the budget session is in progress.  Party high command and Chief Minister will take a decision of cabinet expansion.  It is left to the discretion of the Chief Minister about selection of ministers.  I will not repeat about my inclusion in the cabinet.  I have already expressed my stand about joining the cabinet.” Former chief minister Jagadeesh Shettar said.

He was speaking to media persons.

“As per my political experience, there is no possibility of premature election in the state.  There are two Siddus in the country.  One Siddu spoiled the Ccongress in Punjab. Siddaramaiah in Karnataka will bring down Congress in state.  Siddaramaiah and DK Shivakumar have formed two factions.  Already groupism has already started between them,” he said.

“Modi was telling that the country will become Congress-free.  As per his statement, the country is becoming Congress-free,” he said.

“All previous governments in the state have carried over balance amount of budget.  Siddaramaiah has also kept Indira Canteen money is also outstanding during the governance of Siddaramaiah.  Why the Congress is not talking about it,” he questioned.

Reacting on the Mahadayi project, “Congress is not having a firm stand on the project.  In the Goa election manifestation, it is mentioned as water will not be given to Karnataka.  In Karnataka, they tell that Padayatra will be taken up for the Mahadayi water.  There are some technical problems in Mahadayi project.  After resolving the problems, the works will be taken up,” Shettar said.
