OYO parent rebrands as PRISM ahead of IPO

Mumbai

Oravel Stays Limited, the parent company of hospitality giant OYO, has rebranded itself as PRISM as it prepares for its much-awaited initial public offering (IPO). The new identity is aimed at reflecting the company’s wider portfolio beyond budget hotels.

PRISM will now serve as the corporate parent of OYO, along with global brands such as Motel 6, Townhouse, Sunday, and Palette. In the vacation homes segment, it manages Belvilla, DanCenter, and Studio Prestige, while Studio 6 represents extended stays through its acquisition of G6 Hospitality in the US. It also operates co-working brand Innov8 and event platform Weddingz.in.

Founder and Group CEO Ritesh Agarwal said the transition creates a “future-ready corporate structure” aligned with long-term goals. He highlighted that PRISM would leverage technology, data science, and artificial intelligence to support partners and improve customer experience. “PRISM isn’t just a name—it’s the evolution of everything we stand for,” Agarwal said, noting that the choice came from over 6,000 name suggestions.

The rebranding echoes a similar move earlier this year when Zomato renamed its corporate identity to Eternal while keeping its app name unchanged.

Financially, the IPO-bound firm is showing momentum. It posted a profit after tax (PAT) of over Rs 200 crore in Q1 FY26, more than double last year’s Rs 87 crore. Revenue climbed 47 per cent to Rs 2,019 crore, driven by strong performance from premium brands like Townhouse and Sunday. Gross Booking Value (GBV) surged 144 per cent year-on-year to Rs 7,227 crore, reflecting improved demand and tighter cost controls.
