CHIKKABALLAPUR

Many leaders and activists of other parties are joining the BJP after appreciating the development work going on in the constituency and trusting them, Health Minister Dr. K Sudhakar opined.

Speaking at the Bhumi Puja of school rooms and inauguration of Ambedkar Bhawan organised in Gangarekaluve village of the taluk on Saturday, he extended a warm welcome to all the party leaders.

He assured the leaders that their views will be treated in the party without prejudice.

In the 1980s there were only two MPs from the BJP. But now 303 MPs have won and the power of the country has been captured. This is due to the hard work of the workers. So it is a matter of happiness that the party is being organized from the village level and the leaders should bear the responsibility of winning the party in the next elections, he said.

 Get ready for elections

Elections are likely to be held next April or May. But there is no possibility that the Election Officer will conduct the election before that period. So, the minister called on the party workers and leaders to be prepared in any case of elections.

The people of this constituency are responsible for protecting the people of the state due to Covid. Due to the blessings of the people of the constituency, Karnataka has become the state with the best Covid management in the country. An award has also been given for this, he said.

Roads, school rooms, anganwadis have been constructed in the constituency. A list of development works in Dibbur Gramam area has been given and the development will be done using special grants from the Chief Minister to solve all the problems. The Minister assured that measures will be taken to provide free land to the poor in rural areas and to construct free houses.

As he is currently a minister, he has to travel not only in his constituency but across the state and work hard to bring the party to power. So, although I am the candidate of the constituency, the local leaders should face the election thinking that they are the candidate. He said that since he is going to campaign in other constituencies, party candidates will win in more constituencies and it will help the party to come back to power.

Dozens of leaders joined the party

On this occasion, several leaders, people’s representatives and workers from the Gangare Canal area left the Congress and JDS and joined the BJP in the presence of the Health Minister.

On this occasion Khadi Village Industry Board President KV Nagaraju, BJP District General Secretary Maralakunte Krishna Murthy, Gangarekaluve Prasad and others were present.
