Ruckus on the sets of ‘Thallumaala’; Shine Tom Chacko alleged to have beat up a local

The shoot for the upcoming Tovino Thomas starrer film ‘Thallumaala’ ended up in a ruckus due to a dispute between the locals and the film crew on the issue of dumping the garbage. The incident reportedly happened at Kalamassery HMT colony, Kochi, where the shoot of Khalid Rahman’s directorial film was progressing.

Reportedly, two of the locals have been admitted to the hospital and one among them claimed that the actor Shine Tom Chacko has manhandled him. According to the reports, the police intervened in the issue as the ruckus went out of hand. The clash reportedly broke out when the locals questioned the film crew for dumping garbage in the area and parking vehicles blocking their way.

Shine Tom Chacko is said to have interfered with the fights between the film crew and the locals and reportedly he has beat up a local named Shameer who is now hospitalized. One member of the film crew is also hospitalized as he was allegedly beaten up by the locals.

According to the sources, the police are yet to register a case and are trying to pacify the situation by urging both parties to come to terms on the matter.

Meanwhile, ‘Thallumaala’ will see the actors Tovino Thomas and Kalyani Priyadarshan sharing screen space for the first time and the film is helmed by Khalid Rahman under the script penned down by the writers Muhsin Parari and Ashraf Hamza. Jimshi Khalid will crank the lens whereas the editing section will be handled by Nishadh Yusuf.

The film also features the actors Sharafudheen, Lukman Avaran, Shine Tom Chacko, and Vineeth Kumar in pivotal roles.
