Prashanth Neel’s Prabhas and Shruti Haasan starrer Salaar now has an interesting addition to the cast list if recent reports are anything to go by.
While promoting his upcoming release Radhe Shyam, the actor was asked about the film and he reportedly spilled the deets on the Malayalam star being roped in. He reportedly said, “Prithviraj sir is also doing that film. We are so lucky (to have him) in the film. We are happy that he accepted to be a part of it.” He made the announcement in Kerala, so fans were happy to hear that the Malayalam and Telugu star getting teamed up.
The actor also reportedly opened up about his role, stating, “This is a very exciting film and my character is extremely violent. It’s something I’ve never done before. It’s a pan-India film.” Directed by Prashanth of KGF fame, Salaar will reportedly release in two parts. The film that is being shot simultaneously in Kannada and Telugu will see Jagapathi Babu, Easwari Rao, Madhu Guruswamy and others in key roles.
Shooting for the film commenced in January 2021 at coal mines near Godavarikhani, Telangana and another schedule was wrapped up in Hyderabad the same year in August. Buzz is that the filmmakers are using Dark Centric Theme technology to ensure the film’s light and colour palette remain dark. Further details are awaited.
