Middle East expert claims Trump prolonging Iran war

New Delhi

Middle East expert Waiel Awwad on Monday claimed that the ongoing West Asia conflict is being prolonged by Donald Trump to benefit his billionaire associates and support Israel’s agenda. He said wars often make rich nations richer while poorer countries suffer the most.

Awwad alleged that Trump’s decisions are influenced by powerful allies and pointed to a rise in his personal assets. He also questioned Trump’s claims of military success, citing reports from Tehran that US forces attempting a landing at Kharg Island were captured.

He warned that tensions could rise further, especially around the Easter period, raising fears of possible large-scale incidents. Awwad added that Iran is well-prepared for a long conflict, backed by years of planning and covert operations.

According to him, Iran has carried out thousands of targeted strikes and built a strong defence strategy. He also said Gulf countries are rethinking their ties with the US, as they now find themselves protecting American bases instead of receiving protection.

Awwad suggested that regional nations may push for a new security arrangement without US military presence, as the conflict continues to escalate with no immediate resolution in sight.
