Bommanahalli station police have arrested seven persons accused of kidnapping and murdering a youth. Suhas alias Amul (20), a resident of Laxmipur, Begur, was the victim of the murder. Suhas assisted in his father’s job as an RTO broker.
On the eve of the Ugadi festival, there was quarrel between the accused and the Suhas. Against this backdrop, the accused hated Suhas. On the night of May 9, Suhas accompanied his friend to a wine shop near the Bommanahalli Police Station, Garebhavipalya, where the accused ambushed him and took him to a deserted area near Basavanapura in Electronic City.
The accused had quarreled with Suhas and stabbed him with a knife, stabbed him on the head, and then fled. Suhas, who was accompanied by a friend, did not return home and had complained that his father had abducted his son at the Bommanahalli police station.
The police had registered a case of kidnapping and had formed three teams for the detection of the accused and Suhas. It is well known that the abducted youth is murdered when these teams are operating and gathering information in various dimensions.
As the investigation intensified, police searched for the body of the young man and found him in a deserted area near Basavanapura, near the Electronic City Police Station.
After arresting 7 people in connection with the case, the police are on the lookout for an old hate killing.
