Chiranjeevi’s next titled ‘Waltair Veerayya’, actor accidentally reveals film’s title

Actor Chiranjeevi, speaking to the young Tollywood directors as part of Acharya’s promotions on Thursday, accidentally revealed the name of his upcoming film with director Bobby. It has been titled ‘Waltair Veerayya.’
Being directed by KS Ravindra (Bobby), the project is currently on the floors in Visakhapatnam. The film will feature Chiranjeevi in a tailor-made role. The project was officially announced in August last year and launched with a pooja ceremony last November. Shruti Haasan has been signed as the leading lady. She will be sharing screen space with Chiranjeevi for the first time in her career.
To be produced by Mythri Movie Makers, the film marks the maiden collaboration of Chiranjeevi and Bobby. Reportedly, the makers are spending a whopping Rs 200 crore on the project. The film will have cinematography by Arthur A Wilson, while Niranjan Devaramane will take care of editing. Devi Sri Prasad has been roped in to compose music for this flick.
Chiranjeevi was recently seen in the action drama, Acharya. The film, directed by Koratala Siva, saw him playing a Naxalite who sets out to clean up corruption in a temple town. It also starred Ram Charan, Pooja Hegde, Sonu Sood, Jisshu Sengupta, Nassar, Vennela Kishore, Tanikella Bharani, Ajay, Ravi Prakash, and others. Produced by Ram Charan on a staggering budget of Rs 140 crore, Acharya has garnered Rs 7.99 crore at the box office on its opening day. Despite major hype and wide release, the film failed to click at the box office.
