The much-anticipated film ‘Kanguva,’ featuring Suriya and Bobby Deol, is set to hit theaters on November 14. Studio Green, the production house, recently unveiled a motion poster showing the two stars standing back-to-back. The poster, which also includes the image of a tiger and fire in the background, hints at an epic battle scene.
Sharing the poster on social media, the makers wrote, ‘The Battle of Pride and Glory, for the World to Witness… #Kanguva’s mighty reign storms screens from 14-11-24.’ Directed by Siva, ‘Kanguva’ is a fantasy action film also starring Disha Patani, Jagapathi Babu, Natarajan Subramaniam, and others.
The collaboration between Suriya and Siva was first announced in April 2019 but faced delays due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the actors’ other projects. Filming took place in various locations, including Chennai, Goa, Kerala, Kodaikanal, and Rajahmundry. With an estimated budget of over ₹350 crore, ‘Kanguva’ is among the most expensive Indian films. It features a massive war sequence involving more than 10,000 people.
Suriya was last seen in the action-thriller ‘Etharkkum Thunindhavan.’ Meanwhile, Bobby Deol garnered praise for his role as the villain Abrar in ‘Animal,’ which stars Ranbir Kapoor.
