The Tenth Additional District and Sessions Court granted anticipatory bail for three accused, including Tahsildar Basavaraj Nagaral and Somu Dodawad, the Personal Assistant of Women and Child Welfare Minister Laxmi Hebbalkar, in the abetment to suicide case of Second Division Assistant (SDA) Rudranna Yadavannavar.
Rudranna committed suicide on November 5 in the chamber of Tahsildar. Before that, through his WhatsApp chats and call recordings, he had mentioned the names of three people, including the Tahsildar and Hebbalkar’s PA, as the reason behind his death.
Opposition BJP has been raising this issue, demanding the resignation of Hebbalkar, stating that it was a death caused by the transfer mafia and that there is a direct role of the minister behind it. BJP is also blaming Hebbalkar for stalling the police investigation.
