Union Minister Piyush Goyal on Monday accused the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) alliance of spreading misinformation by circulating a doctored, old video of Union Home Minister Amit Shah. Goyal claimed that the MVA, including Congress, Shiv Sena (UBT), and Sharad Pawar’s party, was attempting to revive a false narrative about Shah’s stance on reservations. He highlighted that an FIR had already been filed regarding the fake video.

Goyal emphasized that the Mahayuti alliance, under the leadership of Amit Shah and Prime Minister Narendra Modi, prioritizes the welfare of all sections of society. He urged communities such as STs and Dalits not to fall for the MVA’s misleading tactics. According to Goyal, Mahayuti-NDA has reinforced reservation policies and fought for the rights of OBCs. He assured that as long as PM Modi and the BJP are in power, reservations would not be scrapped.

The Union Minister criticized the MVA for misleading the people of Maharashtra and expressed confidence that the people would reject their lies. He asserted that the people of Maharashtra support Mahayuti and its vision. Goyal also stated that the MVA’s false promises, including their betrayal of Shiv Sena’s founder Balasaheb Thackeray, would not win them the trust of voters. Assembly elections are set for November 20, with results due on November 23.
