The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has arrested Vijay Maggo, a legal officer at the Delhi Urban Shelter Improvement Board (DUSIB), for allegedly soliciting and accepting a bribe of Rs 5 lakh from a complainant. Following the arrest, CBI officials searched Maggo’s residence, where they recovered Rs 3.79 crore in cash along with property documents. The case, registered on November 4, also includes a private individual named Satish and others. According to the complaint, Maggo demanded Rs 40 lakh to help unseal two shops belonging to the complainant, allegedly using another DUSIB officer’s name. On November 7, CBI set a trap and caught Maggo in the act of accepting the bribe. The investigation is still ongoing.
