Corruption poses a significant threat to society and serves as a major obstacle to national development, emphasized Principal District and Sessions Judge BG Rama during the inauguration of the “Culture of Integrity for Nation’s Prosperity” program. This initiative, aimed at raising awareness about the detrimental effects of corruption and fraud, was organized in collaboration with the District Administration, District Legal Services Authority, Zilla Panchayat, Police Department, and Karnataka Lokayukta at Alur Venkatrao Bhavan.

Judge Rama stressed that cultivating an attitude of selfless service is essential for eradicating corruption. She underscored that honesty and integrity can enhance moral strength and instill confidence, urging citizens to unite for the nation’s well-being.

Superintendent of Police Gopal Byakod echoed this sentiment, advocating for contentment with one’s possessions and the importance of honest work, which leads to both satisfaction and better health.

Deputy Commissioner Divya Prabhu, who presided over the event, pointed out that many esteemed individuals in powerful positions have exemplified honesty and integrity, serving as role models. She asserted that eliminating corruption does not require external intervention; rather, it depends on individuals working lawfully and ethically.

The event was also attended by Senior Judge and District Legal Services Authority Member-Secretary Parashuram Doddamani, DCP Mahaning Nandagavi, and Lokayukta Superintendent of Police Hanumantharaya.
