Yash is gearing up for his return in the action thriller ‘Toxic: A Fairytale for the Grown-Ups’, directed by Geethu Mohandas. Known for his role in the KGF series, Yash praised Geethu’s dedication and vision, which inspired him to join the project. The film explores the dark underbelly of Goa’s drug cartel scene and was initially set for release in April 2025, though this schedule may now shift.
In a recent interview, Yash highlighted the importance of commitment behind a film before he decides to participate. He appreciated the time and effort Geethu has invested in Toxic, believing it will offer a unique perspective on its themes. The film’s first look revealed Yash in a rugged style, reminiscent of his iconic character.
Alongside Yash, Kiara Advani plays a lead role, with Nayanthara expected to portray his sister. Originally, Kareena Kapoor was considered for this role but had to step back due to scheduling issues. The cast may also include Huma Qureshi, Shruti Haasan, and Tara Sutaria in significant parts.
While the release was planned for April 10, 2025, Yash noted that a new date is not yet confirmed, as they are still coordinating the schedules of the entire cast.
