On Tuesday, Delhi Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena shared images of toxic froth in the Yamuna River and urged authorities to prioritize relief for residents over making excuses. He expressed concern, stating, These photos from this morning raise questions about responsibility. Instead of trading accusations on social media, we must focus on helping the people of Delhi, especially Chhath worshippers. He called for concrete actions to address the worsening situation. This statement comes amid rising air pollution in the capital, where thick fog has been reported in areas like Anand Vihar and Nehru Place. Delhi’s Environment Minister, Gopal Rai, has also urged neighboring states to stop diesel buses from entering the city to improve air quality.
