Vivaan Clinches Silver at ISSF World Cup Final

 Indian shooter Vivaan Kapoor shone brightly at the International Shooting Sport Federation (ISSF) World Cup Final on Thursday held in New Delhi, securing a silver medal in the trap shooting event. Kapoor scored 44 points, finishing second to China’s QI Ying, who achieved a total of 47 points. Turkey’s N Tolga Tuncer rounded out the podium in third place with 35 points.

In the skeet shooting category, Anant Jeet Singh Naruka also made headlines by winning a bronze medal with a score of 43. Italy’s Tammaro Cassandro and Gabriele Rossetti claimed gold and silver, scoring 57 and 56 points, respectively. Additionally, Akhil Sheoran earned a bronze medal in the men’s 50m rifle 3 positions (3P) event, marking his first medal at a World Cup Final.

The competition saw Ganemat Sekhon set a new national record in women’s skeet shooting. Overall, India finished the event with a total of four medals—two silver and two bronze.

Sonam Uttam Maskar, who previously won double silver at the Cairo World Cup, continued her impressive form by securing another silver medal in New Delhi. China’s Huang Yuting won the gold in her event with a world record score of 254.5, narrowly edging out Maskar by 1.6 points.

The ISSF World Cup Final is being held at the Dr. Karni Singh Shooting Range in New Delhi, showcasing top shooting talent from around the world.
