MLA Kulkarni’s aide registers plaint against activist

A blackmail case was registered by Arjun Guddad, a contractor with the irrigation department and a close aide of MLA Vinay Kulkarni, against a woman farmer activist from Haveri. The woman had earlier filed a rape case against Kulkarni in Bengaluru. In the complaint filed at the Gokul Road police station, it was alleged that the woman demanded Rs 20 lakh by showing fake photos and videos. She introduced herself as a representative of a seeds company.

Guddad claimed that four people, including Jagadish Sannakki, Hanumantappa Bandivaddar, Siddappa Hosamani, and another person, were involved in the blackmail attempt. He stated that he is also involved in agriculture in Kalahal village of Ramdurga taluk.

According to Guddad, the woman contacted him, introducing Sannakki as her husband. She threatened him with fake videos and photos, demanding money in return. The police have confirmed that the case has been registered.

An investigation into the matter is currently underway to determine the extent of the alleged blackmail. Further details have not yet been released.
