Anil Ruben Mendonsa, an ambulance driver and dedicated social activist from Moodbidri, has embarked on a significant mission to build 35 homes for underprivileged families. To date, he has successfully constructed three houses and is currently working on the fourth and fifth for a financially struggling family. Earlier this year, Mendonsa built a house and a daivasthana for a needy family in Karinje village and has since received requests for assistance from 35 more families in need of shelter.

Mendonsa devotes much of his time, resources, and energy to charitable efforts. He not only leads house construction initiatives but also actively participates alongside laborers throughout the building process. His recent projects include homes named Anugraha and Aashirvad in Karinje and Alangar, respectively, with ongoing work on Nemmadi in Bailadka.

Recently, Mendonsa learned of a 105-year-old woman and her son, who suffers from a spinal cord injury, living in dire conditions. After seeing their plight on social media, he traveled to Belthangady to offer assistance and began constructing a house for them. He has also partnered with Trishul Friends, a local youth organization, to support another family in need. Through his charity, supported by Care Charitable Trust, Mendonsa aims to fulfill the housing needs of the many families who reach out to him.
