Former MP S. Muniswamy has condemned the Karnataka government’s decision to withdraw criminal cases against 150 individuals linked to the 2022 Hubballi riots, accusing the Congress-led administration of anti-national activities. He alleged that the government is supporting those involved in unlawful actions for political gains and warned that the people of the state will not forgive such actions.
Speaking to reporters in Kolar, Muniswamy recounted incidents where police stations in DJ Halli and KJ Halli were attacked, vehicles were set on fire, and even the house of a party MLA was targeted. He claimed these incidents involved anti-national activities and criticized Congress for allegedly promising to drop charges in exchange for votes during elections.
