Indian Olympic Association (IOA) President PT Usha expressed confidence in Uttarakhand’s ability to successfully host the 38th National Games after meeting with Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami in Delhi. Usha shared her satisfaction, saying that the Uttarakhand CM is ready and confident to host the National and Winter Games.
The 38th National Games are scheduled to be held from January 28 to February 14, 2025, in Uttarakhand. The full event program will be revealed during the IOA general assembly meeting on October 25, 2024. Along with the National Games, the Winter National Games will also take place in the state.
Chief Minister Dhami expressed his gratitude to PT Usha, calling it an honor for Uttarakhand to host such a significant event. He emphasized that the state is fully prepared, with much of the necessary infrastructure already in place, and promised the Games would be organized on a grand scale. Drawing on the experiences of previous host states, Uttarakhand aims to exceed expectations.
Dhami added that the event would boost local morale and offer a great platform for emerging athletes from Uttarakhand. He also invited PT Usha to visit the sacred temples of Badrinath and Kedarnath.
