On Tuesday, a Sub Inspector (SI) and six policemen from Rajasthan’s Cyber Cell were suspended for allegedly tracking the mobile location of Bhiwadi city SP Jyeshtha Maitrey. The incident is currently under investigation by the Police Headquarters after being reported from the Bhiwadi Cyber Cell. Upon discovering this breach, SP Maitrey immediately suspended the involved officers.

Maitrey expressed her disappointment, stating, I did not expect my own department to betray me like this. I have always worked honestly and was unaware that my own officers were monitoring my activities. She received confidential information about the situation on October 6, prompting her investigation. The suspended officers include SI Shravan Joshi, Head Constable Avnish Kumar, and several constables.

SP Jyeshtha Maitrey, originally from Guna, Madhya Pradesh, is a 2017 civil services exam graduate and has held various key positions within the Rajasthan police.
