The WPC Series is expected to attract around 650 players from six to seven countries, including Australia, Vietnam, Taiwan, Poland, and Singapore. Many international teams will compete across various categories, captivating pickleball fans globally.

AIPA President Arvind Prabhoo expressed pride in bringing this championship to India. He sees it as a chance to promote the sport at all levels and inspire people to take up pickleball, whether for competition or leisure. He emphasized AIPA’s commitment to making the WPC Series a success in India.

Jan Papi, Founder of Pickleball Global and the WPC Series, shared his excitement about the event, highlighting India’s potential in the sport and the importance of collaboration with AIPA.

Pickleball, which combines elements of tennis, badminton, and table tennis, is rapidly gaining popularity. AIPA aims to further develop the sport in India through grassroots initiatives and training programs for talented players, all while seeking official recognition from the government and the Sports Authority of India.
