Our’s is a pro-farmer govt: Min N Chaluvarayaswamy

The Agriculture Minister, N. Chaluvarayaswamy, stated that the government is committed to supporting the agriculture sector. This statement was made during the inauguration of the Raitha Dasara programme at GK Maidan.
It was noted that the state government aims to integrate agriculture, animal husbandry, and silk production to enhance the profitability of farming. The minister emphasized that farmers should receive fair prices and adopt farming methods that ensure income throughout the year. He urged farmers to focus on integrated farming, which includes dairy, sheep, poultry, fish, and bee farming, as a way to increase their earnings.
The importance of agricultural mechanization was highlighted, with the minister mentioning that agricultural machinery worth Rs 1,000 crore was distributed by the Agriculture Department last year.
Farmers were encouraged to embrace integrated farming alongside traditional practices and to adopt new technologies to boost production and profits.
K. Venkatesh, the Minister for Animal Husbandry and Sericulture, also spoke at the event. Progressive farmers were recognized for their contributions, and several officials, including Ramesh Bandissidde Gowda and MLA Harish Gowda, attended the programme.
