World No. 1 Iga Swiatek has officially ended her coaching relationship with Tomasz Wiktorowski after three successful years together. This partnership, which began at the end of the 2021 season when Swiatek had only one major title, led to her winning four Grand Slam titles and becoming the top player in women’s tennis. During their time together, she also achieved an impressive 37-match winning streak in 2022, the longest since the 2000s. Last year, Wiktorowski was honored as the WTA’s Coach of the Year.

In a heartfelt Instagram post, Swiatek thanked Wiktorowski for his crucial role in her development. She mentioned that his expertise and strategic insights helped her reach heights she had never imagined. We set the goal to be the world No. 1, and Coach Wiktorowski believed we could achieve it, she wrote.

Together, they won 19 of her 22 career titles, including an Olympic silver medal. Swiatek emphasized that the decision to part ways was mutual and amicable, wishing Wiktorowski well as he takes time off after years of hard work.

Currently, Swiatek has withdrawn from the China Open for personal reasons and is in the process of finding a new coach. She is exploring options with international coaches and is excited about the next step in her career.
